BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - More than 27,000 DEMCO customers are without power Sunday night, according to the utility’s outage map.

As of 9:45 p.m., DEMCO reported 27,661 outages, which is about 23% of its total customers served. The largest impacts are in:

Ascension Parish: 7,577 customers out

Livingston Parish: 19,561 customers out

Tangipahoa Parish: 475 customers out

Smaller outages were also reported in St. Helena, West Feliciana, and East Baton Rouge parishes.

DEMCO has not yet released details about the case of the outages or an estimated restoration time.
