Gove weighs in on budget override ask

AMESBURY — Mayor Kassandra Gove sat down with The Daily News this week to discuss her request to add a $6 million Proposition 2½ budget override question for the November city election.

The proposal states, “Shall the City of Amesbury be allowed to assess an additional $6 million in real estate and personal property taxes for the purposes of funding the operating budgets of the city and of the public schools for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026?”
