MURRAY – Murray State University officials joined alumnus Melissa Easley, a longtime MSU supporter and nature lover, Friday for the dedication of the Easley Conservation Stewardship Area.
Easley recently donated 46 acres at the end of Martin Chapel Road for students in MSU’s wildlife biology program to use for their studies and class projects. In his welcoming remarks to the crowd gathered at the site Friday morning, Kevin Munsey, director of development for the Jones School of Science, Engineering and Technology and the School of Nursing and Health Professions, said the site is “a short distance from Murray State's main campus, but it is very close to our nature-loving hearts.”
“I’m very honored to be here today celebrating a true supporter of Murray State University,” Munsey said.
