A former dentist surgery in Coventry could soon become a ten person house of multiple occupancy (HMO). The owner of the former My Dentist surgery on Kingston Road, off Earlsdon Avenue North, is seeking permission to turn now closed four consulting room dentists into a HMO consisting of four double rooms and two single rooms.
If given the go-ahead by the council, the building would be transformed to consist of six en suite rooms, and several communal areas, as well as two parking spaces.
It is hoped the standard of the planned renovation will mean the will 'attract a professional occupant'. The application argues that a ten person home will be welcome in the area in comparison to the busy dental surgery which often had as many as 17 people on the site at once.
