Carolyn Romanowski was emotional watching demolition crews take down the smoldering remains of High on the Hill.
"I had a tear when I pulled up," said Romanowski. "I actually cried for these people. I don't know if they're going to rebuild. They probably can't. I don't know what kind of business owners they were, or family or what — I don't know any of that. I just know I’ve been coming here for 20-something years." Advertisement
Romanowski was one of many folks who watched the demolition of the store. The smoke shop has been a fixture on Route 32 since 1978.
