Waffle House, an Atlanta-based diner chain, is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year.

To mark the big occasion, Waffle House last month announced a limited-time addition to the famously utilitarian menu that they've rarely made changes to over the past seven decades. Earlier this month, participating locations began offering the Birthday Cake Waffle, a festively decorated variation on the company's namesake dish.
