Scores of locals have objected to plans to open a children's care home in a house on a Bedworth street. But Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council looks set to give the proposal the go-ahead.

As reported by CoventryLive, concerns were raised about the plan which asks for consent for the change of use from a residential dwelling to a children's home at 30 Primrose Drive. This would compromise of providing care for up to 3 children with no external modifications proposed.

Residents, backed by their now Liberal Democrat ward councillor Rob Roze, said they were blindsided' by the new application. They stressed that while they are not opposed to vulnerable children being given somewhere to live, they raised concerns about the lack of consultation.
