New Delhi, Sept 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura to launch development projects worth over Rs 5,100 crore, including two significant hydropower projects.
In Arunachal Pradesh, he will virtually lay the foundation for the Heo Hydro Electric Project (240 MW) and the Tato-I Hydro Electric Project (186 MW), which together will have a capacity of 426 MW and aim to generate substantial annual electricity while promoting sustainable energy.
The projects, developed by NEEPCO in collaboration with the state government, are expected to provide socio-economic benefits and contribute to India’s clean energy targets. PM Modi will also participate in rituals at the Mata Tripura Sundari Temple in Tripura, focusing on its cultural significance.
