WOODROW — A year ago, the Lubbock-Cooper Liberty football team was searching for answers on its long ride home from Seminole.

The Patriots, in the midst of their maiden voyage, still were without the program's first varsity win after a blowout loss. The 62-15 setback was particularly cruel after Liberty was so close to victories its first three weeks.
