A High Court judge has agreed an injunction at Kingsbury Oil Terminal can remain. CoventryLive reported that North Warwickshire Borough Council was keen for the injunction to continue amid ongoing concerns about more protests from climate activists, particularly Just Stop Oil.
It was first granted in April 2022 following a number of high profile protests at the site. At one point campaigners dug a tunnel under a road close to what is a national depot.
A Review Hearing was held at the High Court in Birmingham and the Judge decided it can continue and will be reviewed again in 12 months. The injunction gives police enhanced powers, including the power of arrest, for anyone breaching the terms of the injunction.
