MT. STERLING, Ky. (WKYT) - A car crashed into a Kentucky sheriff’s cruiser while he was working a separate crash.
KSP Post 8 Trooper Zach Haney posted on Facebook that I-64 Eastbound had been closed between mile markers 110 and 113 for a crash near mile 113 with injuries.
Trooper Haney tells WKYT that a small crash between two cars had happened in the area near the Bath County line.
The Bath County Sheriff’s Office then called the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office to shut down the interstate and help work the crash.
When Montgomery County Sheriff David Charles arrived, KSP tells us a car hit his cruiser while he was in it.
The sheriff and the driver and two passengers in the other car were taken to the hospital. The driver was airlifted to UK Hospital.
