WXIN/WTTV - A scam that’s been making the rounds for more than a decade is back again and research from security experts suggests it’s no coincidence.

Last weekend, FOX59's Angela Ganote received a text message from someone named Zambrana Osmar.

“Angela there is someone planning to kill you,” the text said. “And this is (sic) dangerous people.”

“What are their names,” Angela replied.

“I will give you the names of this people and you will be surprised and also tell you what to do,” the sender texted. “But if you go and confront them, that’s means you have made the biggest mistake of your life.”

Aside from obvious grammatical errors in the messages, the sender then called Angela “George” and asked for her proposal. In other words, what was she willing to pay him for more information abo
