LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A man is dead after he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a pole Monday morning, LMPD said.

The crash happened around 12:15 a.m. Monday, Sept. 22 at the intersection of Shelbyville Road and Bircham Road.

According to LMPD, the driver of the vehicle was going east on Shelbyville when he lost control of the vehicle, went off the road and hit a utility pole before continuing on and hitting trees.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
