GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Kids in Northeast Wisconsin need your help to stay warm this winter.

Coats for Kids is looking for coats and winter accessories like hats, gloves and mittens that are new or gently used.

This year’s collection drive starts Monday, September 22, and continues until Thursday, October 23.

Making sure every child has a coat isn‘t an exact science. Becky Darrow, the director of social services for the Salvation Army in Green Bay, explained they aren’t looking for just one coat for every kid; they need a variety so kids

Each year we need a variety of coats in a variety of sizes so kids can truly come in and shop for their very own coat with dignity and have that choice.
