A hairstylist in Cambridge has said they want to be able to sell cocktails to clients getting their hair done, as part of offering them a "premium" experience. Morresi Hairstylist, in King Street, has applied to Cambridge City Council for a licence to sell alcohol to customers between 9am and 7pm on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and between 9am and 9pm on a Thursday.

However, concern has been raised that serving alcohol to customers five days a week could be “excessive”. No objections to the proposed licence have been made by police or environmental health officers, but one objection has been lodged by a member of the public.
