We have some patchy dense fog to start the day over Iowa, but that will clear up and we will have a warm and humid afternoon.

Highs will be in the low 80s with humidity making it feel a little hotter than that. Dew points will be well into the 60s, so expect to have the muggy feel as we start off the Fall season. With the warmth and moisture, we are just waiting on the trigger to fire up some storms for the evening.

There is a slow moving, quasi-stationary front crawling over the state, which will be the trigger for the later convection. This evening and overnight, expect storms to form and pass over the state.
