DES MOINES, Iowa —
A Des Moines middle school was temporarily evacuated on Monday afternoon after school officials reported "suspicious circumstances" to the Des Moines Police Department.
According to Des Moines police, the call came in around 3 p.m. and "out of an abundance of caution," students and staff were temporarily evacuated from the building.
After a preliminary investigation, students were returned to the school and are now dismissing for the day.
Police say no one was injured and no arrests have been made. The incident remains under investigation.
