A new documentary has revealed the heartbreaking moment Jay Slater's mum finds the contents of his bag he was carrying when he died. ‌

The 19-year-old from Lancashire went missing in June 2024 while on holiday in Tenerife which prompted a huge manhunt on the island. ‌

The tragic teen's body was eventually found in a remote area near the village of Masca on 15 July. ‌

Now, Jay's mum Debbie Duncan has opened up about his death in a new Channel 4 documentary and in one moving scene, unpacks the bag that was found on his body, reports the Mirror.

Sitting in her late teenager's bedroom, Debbie says: "It's been a year and I still can't bring myself to unpack his case. I still smell his smell."
