No player was better off the bench than Naz Hillmon this past WNBA season.

One of the best players in Michigan basketball history was named the league’s Sixth Player of the Year this past weekend. She received 44 of 72 votes from a panel of media members who cover the league, becoming the first Dream player to win the award.

Hillmon, a 6-foot-2 forward, averaged career highs in points (8.6 per game), rebounds (6.2), assists (2.4), and minutes (25.5) over 44 games in her fourth season. Since she only started 17 of those games, she was eligible for the award.
