Pastor Travis Johnson, of Pathway Church, posted an open letter ahead of the 2025 municipal runoff election between Spiro Cheriogotis and Barbara Drummond.

In the letter, Johnson encouraged Mobile residents to go out to the polls on September 23 and vote for Cheriogotis.

Although he said both candidates deserve respect for their years of work and service, he outlined Drummond's voting record as a state representative, explaining how it may not align with Christian family values and could negatively impact Mobile's economy and prosperity.

"Vote for Spiro Cheriogotis as Mayor of Mobile — proven executive leadership as a business owner and judicial leadership for an effective, safer, more prosperous city for all of Mobile," Johnson said.

The letter was posted on social media.
