Body found following vacant building fire in Southwest Baltimore

An investigation is underway after a body was discovered inside a vacant building following a fire Saturday morning in Southwest Baltimore.

Baltimore City Fire Department officials said they arrived to the scene on Wilhelm Street just after 2 a.m. where several homes were on fire.

Once the fire was placed under control, a K9 search team went and discovered one person who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Arson and homicide detectives have taken over the investigation.
