DEQUINCY, La. (KPLC) - BECi has announced it will be conducting a scheduled power outage tomorrow, Sept. 23, that will affect around 900 meters served by the Buhler substation, between the DeQuincy and Sulphur area.

The outage will begin at 8 a.m. and is expected to last between 6 and 7 hours.

The interruption is necessary to complete maintenance work on transmission lines between the Sulphur substation and the Buhler substation.

BECi says it is imperative that this maintenance be done immediately because access to them requires dryer weather, and two of the three remaining poles have been classified as critically in need of replacement.
