Sarah, Duchess of York, has been removed as a patron of Julia's House, a children's hospice, following revelations about her correspondence with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The charity announced its decision in a statement, citing the recent information regarding the duchess's email to Epstein.

Julia's House stated, "Following the information shared this weekend on the Duchess of York's correspondence with Jeffrey Epstein, Julia's House has taken the decision that it would be inappropriate for her to continue as a patron of the charity. We have advised the Duchess of York of this decision and thank her for her past support."

The controversy arose after reports indicated that the duchess had sent a message to Epstein in April 2011, in which she expressed her regret for publicly associating him with paedophilia. In the email, she referred to Epstein as her "steadfast, generous and supreme friend."

According to The Sun on Sunday, the duchess apologised to Epstein for the media's portrayal of him, which she felt had unfairly linked him to paedophilia. A spokesperson for the duchess later clarified that the email was sent in response to Epstein's threat to sue her.

This development marks a significant moment for the duchess, who has faced scrutiny over her past associations. The situation continues to evolve, and further updates are expected.
