A pub owned by model and TV personality Jodie Kidd has announced it will be closing after members of staff have suffered "physical and verbal" abuse.

Jodie Kidd, 46, bought The Half Moon in Kirdford, West Sussex, in July 2017, and has been co-running it in the years since.

In a post shared on Facebook, The Half Moon pub announced that it will be closing for a period of time after staff have faced abuse "both verbal and physical" and asked people to remember that they are human.

A statement shared at 1.45pm on Saturday, September 20, reads: "We’ve worked hard to create more than just a pub - we’ve built a home. A place for people to come together, enjoy good times, and make memories.
