After a months-long manhunt, authorities said they may have finally located the remains of Travis Decker, the Wenatchee father accused of murdering his three young daughters earlier this summer.

During “ The Gee and Ursula Show ” on KIRO Newsradio, co-host Ursula Reutin asked if this could offer any closure to the family and community if Decker cannot stand trial.

“Does this give the family closure? Is this truly a resolution?” Ursula asked. “I mean, how many days did we talk about this manhunt and the fear that he might still be out there?”

The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office said the human remains found this week in a wooded area south of Leavenworth are believed to be those of Decker. DNA testing is underway to confirm the identity.
