NEWS CENTER Maine CrimeLEWISTON, Maine — Lewiston police say they have arrested a 14-year-old boy wanted in connection with a Pierce Street shooting last week .
The arrest followed an overnight search that began Thursday, Sept. 18, when officers responded around 11 p.m. to reports of gunfire near 144 Pierce St. Police said two vehicles and an apartment building had been struck by bullets, but no injuries were reported.
Witnesses told officers the suspect had been firing at another person, who also fled before police arrived. Investigators determined the shooter fled to 158 Blake St.
On Friday, Sept. 19, the Maine State Police Tactical Team executed a high-risk search warrant at the Blake Street address, where police said they found evidence but did not locate the suspect. Later that night, Lewiston police p
