MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Two different resolutions regarding how the county should handle the arrival of the National Guard appear to reveal what is becoming a mixed Shelby County Board of Commissioners.

Monday, Commissioners are set to continue talks. One resolution seeks to completely halt the mobilization of the Guard, while the other resolution aims to establish guidelines, accepting the presence of the troops in the city.

Some want to make sure county government has a say in how local resources are being used in the community, as sponsors of the resolution say the arrival of the Guard is inevitable.
