Two brothers are accused of speeding around the millionaire’s row of Sandbanks and causing a crash that seriously hurt a 17-year-old girl.
Henry, 21, and Harrison Taylor, 19, were allegedly in separate cars, a BMW 135i and a Mercedes A200, racing each other around the exclusive peninsula in Poole Harbour in Dorset when the accident happened.
The Mercedes left Banks Road, which has a 30mph speed limit, and collided with a gatepost to one of the multi-million pound mansions.
The girl, Mia Savage, was in the front seat passenger seat of the Mercedes and suffered injuries described as life-changing.
She had to be cut out of the crumpled car and airlifted to hospital.
The men have now appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
