JACKSON COUNTY, MI – Construction will close northbound Airport Road over I-94 in Blackman Township.
The Michigan Department of Transportation will replace bridge beams damaged by a high-load strike to the bridge on April 11. The closure will begin at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23, and be completed by 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15, according to a press release from MDOT.
In addition to closing northbound Airport Road for the duration of the project, MDOT will conduct intermittent closures on I-94 at night for demolition, removal and beam placement.
Drivers should expect delays, and alternate routes are advised.
