Poppi is paying $8.9 million in a legal settlement after the company was accused of false advertising.

The lawsuit claimed that the company touted its low-sugar, low-calorie soda with prebiotics as “gut healthy” without any scientific evidence. While the company agreed to settle the lawsuit, it has not admitted to any wrongdoing.

The deadline to file a claim and receive a portion of the settlement is set for Friday.

Customers who bought any flavor or package size of Poppi soda from Jan. 23, 2020, to July 18, 2025, are eligible for payment. Those who can provide proof of purchase can receive 75 cents per can, $3 per four-pack, $6 per eight-pack and $9 per 12- or 15-pack. Payments could vary depending on the number of claims filed.
