A man has been arrested and a car seized after a fatal hit-and-run collision in Birmingham.

A 34-year-old man died in hospital after he was stuck by a vehicle at a pedestrian crossing outside Longbridge railway station on Longbridge Lane at 11.15pm, yesterday, Sunday, September 21.

West Midlands Police said a 40-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.

The force had earlier issued an appeal to trace a Jaguar I-Pace vehicle with the registration plate: BO03 DGE.
