Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, has been dropped as a patron by a children's hospice after reports emerged of her alleged correspondence with Jeffrey Epstein.

It has been reported she called the paedophile billionaire a "supreme friend" in an email between her and the convict.

Julia's House released a statement regarding its decision to release the duchess from the position, declaring it would be "inappropriate" to have her as a patron for the charity.

The charity said: "Following the information shared this weekend on the Duchess of York's correspondence with Jeffrey Epstein, Julia's House has taken the decision that it would be inappropriate for her to continue as a patron of the charity.
