LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Governor Gretchen Whitmer has announced that the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will begin a road repair project this week across several counties, including Clinton County.

MDOT is investing approximately $900,000 to resurface two miles of the I-96 Business Loop (Grand River Avenue), from I-96 to Bunker Hill Drive in Clinton County.

Construction is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 22, and is expected to be completed by October 31.

Drivers should expect lane closures and traffic regulators during the project.

The improvements aim to provide a smoother and safer driving surface for all motorists.
