Police in Neno are searching for a man who shot and killed a 26-year-old woman, Belita Komenti.

According to Neno Police spokesperson, Sergeant Rebecca Msoliza, the incident occurred last night.

She said the woman was sleeping in her house with her children when the suspect broke down the door and shot her in the shoulder before fleeing the scene.

Belita Komenti was from Mchenga Village, under Traditional Authority Dambe in Neno District.
