Saying Barbara Drummond is deeply committed to public service, Mobile City Council President C.J. Small threw his support behind the longtime state lawmaker’s campaign to be Mobile’s next mayor Wednesday night.

“In my time working with Rep. Drummond, she has consistently demonstrated the integrity, vision and leadership our city needs,” Small said in a statement. “She understands our challenges — whether in housing, public safety, equitable economic development or education — and she has the experience to address them with fairness, competence and heart.”
