LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — A former Limestone County Corrections Officer has been sentenced to prison after being charged with bribery.

The U.S. Department of Justice said that John Paul Ketteman, 28, of Huntsville, was sentenced to 15 months, or 1.25 years in prison for accepting a bribe by an agent of an organization receiving federal funds.

According to the plea agreement, Ketteman was employed as a corrections officer at the Alabama Department of Correction’s Limestone Correctional Facility in Harvest, Alabama.

The Department of Justice said that Ketteman’s job duties included inspecting prison cells for contraband and supervising inmates.
