The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission has opened a 30-day public comment period on proposed toll increases that would take effect in early 2026, with passenger vehicle E-ZPass rates rising 50 cents to $2.
The commission announced the comment period following its July 28 proposal for system-wide toll adjustments across its eight bridges connecting Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including the Route 22, Interstate 78 and Intestate 80 spans.
Under the proposed changes, drivers using E-ZPass would pay $2 for Class 1 passenger vehicles, while those using the Toll-by-Plate system would see rates jump $2 to $5.
Larger vehicles would face steeper increases, with per-axle E-ZPass rates for vehicles eight feet or taller rising $2 to $6.50 per axle. The corresponding Toll-by-Plate rate fo
