Manhattan’s last remaining casino bid was rejected Monday, with an advisory committee voting against a proposal for Freedom Plaza, near the United Nations headquarters in Midtown East.

The vote ended all three bids to put a gambling center in in the borough. Last week, two separate committees voted against casino proposals in Times Square and Hell’s Kitchen.

All three projects — backed by major developers and entertainment partners — promised thousands of jobs, but faced strong pushback from some residents and local officials. Theater advocates were particularly opposed to the Times Square proposal.
