SAGINAW, MI — A Saginaw man is accused of repeatedly firing a gun in his West Side neighborhood while “super drunk.”

Police in the wee hours of Wednesday, Sept. 17, received reports of gunfire in the 1500 block of Greenwich Street. Officers were already in the area and heard three gunshots, prosecutors allege.

No one was struck by the bullets.

Officers went to a house and 59-year-old resident Michael T. Craft stepped out his front door to greet them. Craft said the noise officers heard was actually from fireworks he had set off in his yard, prosecutors allege.

Questioned further, Craft said he had fired a handgun “because he was having troubles with the neighbor,” prosecutors alleged in a bond recommendation. Craft allowed officers to enter his house and they found a handgun on a couch
