The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather alert for 29 districts in Maharashtra, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall over the next few days. The forecast indicates that Marathwada, Konkan, Vidarbha, and parts of Western and Northern Maharashtra are likely to witness intense showers, accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds.

According to the IMD, Marathwada has already been experiencing relentless rainfall, and the situation is expected to persist. Districts including Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Beed, Dharashiv, Latur, Parbhani, and Hingoli have been placed under a yellow alert, with the possibility of heavy rain and lightning.

In Konkan, all districts except Sindhudurg—namely Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Palghar—are under a yellow alert. Mumba
