OLD FORT, Ohio — One man was killed and two children seriously injured in a crash Monday morning near this northern Seneca County village, the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported.

Mikayla D. Steyer, 18, of Old Fort, was southbound on Pleasant Township Road 73 about 7:15 a.m. when her pickup went off the road’s left side, then reentered the road and collided head-on with a southbound car driven by Jeromy T. Danielski, 37, also of Old Fort.

Mr. Danielski died at the scene, troopers from the state patrol’s Sandusky post said. Two children in his vehicle with him were flown to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo for care for their serious injuries.

Ms. Steyer sustained minor injuries and was taken to ProMedica Fremont Hospital, troopers said.
