SWIMMING: STEP UP TO TRI-CITY PODIUM

In a 10-team showdown, Bay County athletes spent quality time on the podium at the Tri-Cities Swimming and Diving Championship at SVSU.

Bay City Western claimed Tri-Cities titles in three events and Bay City Central added one to lead the podium parade.

Lizzie Rechsteiner led the way as a two-event champion for Western, winning the 200 freestyle (2:03.67) and 500 freestyle (5:37.13) to stake her claim as the area’s top distance performer. Ripley Andrus was crowned champion in diving (371.25).
