BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — The Brooklyn Brandeis Society (BBS), a professional organization for Jewish judges, attorneys and other legal professionals in Kings County, held its annual “Jewish New Year Kick-Off” commemorating the start of Rosh Hashanah.
The event took place the afternoon of Thursday, Sept. 18, at 117 Remsen St.
Rosh Hashanah, which means “Head of the Year,” marks the creation of the world, according to Jewish tradition and begins the Ten Days of Repentance, culminating in Yom Kippur.
Jeffrey Miller Esq., president of the BBS, told the Brooklyn Eagle that he was thrilled to witness the incredible turnout. “We have a large number of people here physically today, but there are also those who have looked into our membership remotely. The more people who contribute, the more we can
