ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The 10th Circuit Solicitor’s Office convicted and sentenced a Georgia man to 25 years in prison for trafficking cocaine almost three years after his arrest.

Kevin Euguene Hicks, of Austell, Georgia, was convicted in Anderson for trafficking in cocaine of 400 grams or more after a traffic stop yielded a kilo of cocaine.

On Nov. 16, 2022, the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office uncovered a large quantity of cocaine after stopping Hicks for a separate traffic infraction. The drugs were found hidden in the vehicle’s trunk.

A court testimony revealed that the cocaine would be valued on the street between $30,000 and $70,000, depending on how the drugs were sold.
