CLEVELAND — The two people who were killed in a house fire in Cleveland's Broadway-Slavic Village neighborhood on Sunday have been identified.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office identified the pair as 57-year-old William Swincicki and 55-year-old Michelle Terwilliger.

Just after midnight on Sunday morning, the Cleveland Division of Fire responded to a 1½-story home on East 52nd Street just south of Fleet Avenue and found heavy flames engulfing the first floor and porch.

Crews say Swincicki and Terwilliger were found on the second floor and taken to MetroHealth Medical Center in critical condition. They were both declared dead at MetroHealth. 3News media partner Cleveland.com reported that Swincicki and Terwillinger had been married since 2010.
