EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department says one of its special deputies fired his gun at a group of individuals after he claims the porta-potty he was in was tipped over while he was off duty on Monday.
According to a release from the county, the deputy was working a secondary job in East Cleveland when he went to use a porta-potty within the 1600 block of East 133rd Street. Around 1:30 p.m., officials say "another individual or group of individuals" came up to the porta-potty and toppled it to the ground while the deputy was still inside.
After exiting the sideways porta-potty, the deputy says he "encountered multiple individuals" and claims he saw one pulling a gun from his waistband. This caused the deputy to fire his own weapon, at which time the group scat
