CLEVELAND — The Ohio Turnpike has reopened in both directions after a crash in the Lorain County area led to extended cleanup efforts Monday evening.
Officials have not yet released details regarding the incident or how long the closure is expected to last, but the all lanes of the highway were shut down between North Ridgeville and Strongsville. Drivers were directed to other freeways such as Interstate 480 and I-71 during that time.
The Turnpike reopened just after 8:30 p.m., with officials saying traffic was now moving at a "normal" pace.
