WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA) - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) shares it will soon implement daily closures to a portion of State Road 9 in Whitley County.

The department says S.R. 9 will be closed between U.S. 30 and U.S. 33 as crews conduct culvert repairs.

The closure will begin on or after Monday, Sept. 29, and is expected to last through Oct. 9.

INDOT says it encourages drivers to use the official detour of State Road 109 and U.S. 33, or seek an alternate route.

According to the department, crews will open the road in the evenings and weekends when possible.
