FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - As the seasons change, it’s not unusual to find yourself sniffling and sneezing. But how do you know if it’s a common cold or just fall allergies acting up?
Parkview Nurse Practitioner Heather Willison says there are a few key signs that can help you tell the difference and some simple steps you can take to prevent allergy flare-ups before they start.
Willison says colds are caused by a virus, while allergies are your immune system reacting to pollen, mold, ragweed, or other seasonal triggers.
