BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ/Virginia Tech Release) - Virginia Tech is offering guidance for people attending Wednesday’s Turning Point USA event , as well as people routinely on campus.

Doors at Burress Hall are scheduled to be open at 5 p.m. for the event , which was to be attended by activist Charlie Kirk, who founded Turning Point USA and was assassinated at a college event in Utah this month.

Attendees at the September 24 event will include TV political commentator Megyn Kelly and Governor Glenn Youngkin.

Virginia Tech says, “Ticket holders must present identification. The ticket holder name and identification must match. Guests may not take cameras or bags, backpacks, or purses into the event. Magnetometers will be in use. Please plan accordingly.”
